Growing up Here

This ongoing series is a collection of spontaneous portraits of children I've encountered in the neighborhoods I have called home. Some were playing in narrow streets, some posed curiously for the camera, while others simply carried on with the business of being children — laughing, frowning, daring, and dreaming.
What unites them is not just innocence, but resilience. Each child reflects the texture of their environment: the rough edges of the street, the bright flashes of joy in small games, the ways childhood persists even in places marked by struggle.
These photographs are less about perfection and more about presence — capturing moments that remind us that childhood, in all its simplicity and complexity, is a mirror of the communities we build.
